[11-11-11] Extravagant Challenge, Siwon and Donghae’s whirlwind trip to Taiwan

GTV’s idol drama “Extravagant Challenge” is expected to air in December. Both the lead actors, South Korea idol group Super Junior’s (SJ) members Siwon and Donghae will be making a whirlwind trip to Taiwan to promote the drama alongside lead actress Ivy Chen. The visit is said to last for approximately 6 hours.

“Extravagant Challenge” is expected to air in December after “I May Not Love You” concludes, GTV has tentatively set the drama premiere date for the 14th of December, but due to the packed schedules of both the male and female leads, the managements are still negotiating to reach an agreement on the time period which will best suit both parties in hope that all three actors and actress are able to make an appearance together during the promotional event.

SJ’s management company SM expressed that December is the month where most major award ceremonies will be held, moreover SJ’s 4th World Tour will be kicking off in November, and hence they are expected to have a very busy schedule. However, owing to the fact that “Extravagant Challenge” is the very first overseas drama which both Siwon and Donghae have jointly starred in, they will definitely make a visit to Taiwan to attend the premiere of the drama despite having to shuttle between two countries on the same day.

GTV expressed that on the day of the premiere, there will also be an award ceremony taking place in Korea, Siwon and Donghae are likely to miss the dress rehearsal for the award ceremony in order to be in Taiwan in the afternoon. They will then return directly to Korea for the award ceremony after the event, making a whirlwind trip which is expected to last for less than 6 hours.

Although both of them are able to speak Chinese, their voices will be dubbed in the drama “Extravagant Challenge”, Siwon’s voice will be dubbed by Ivy Chen’s rumored boyfriend, Kun Da. The production team expressed, they have tried many different voices and they found Kun Da’s voice to be most suitable for the character.

In addition to that, Donghae will also be demonstrating his composing talents for “Extravagant Challenge”, the ending theme song “This Is Love” is composed by Donghae and it will be his first time singing a Chinese solo.
